Feb 2010: Virgin Coconut Oil Giveaway

Post image for Feb 2010: Virgin Coconut Oil Giveaway

THIS GIVEAWAY IS OVER. THANK YOU FOR PARTICIPATING. CHECK THE SIDEBAR FOR THE CURRENT GIVEAWAY. Quality coconut oil really does make a difference in food prep. I made a favorite quick dish yesterday – pan seared scallops with arugula sauteed in garlic and coconut oil (picture above) and it came out fabulous!

So if you’ve been following my blog, you know that I decided to review four organic coconut oils. Tropical Traditions ranked the highest overall. To be honest with you, I have tasted some premium coconut oils nearly as good as Tropical Traditions, but what gave them the edge is a really good price for the AMAZING quality and labor that goes into the product. The best coconuts of each harvest are hand-picked, shredded and cold-pressed. The coconut milk is expressed from the freshly harvested coconuts by using the pure water that is present inside the coconuts. The coconut milk is then allowed to sit for approximately half a day. During this time, the heavier water separates from the oil by sinking to the bottom. The coconut oil separates naturally from water using gravity. No machine or other substances are used in the extraction. Can you imagine the time and care that goes in to this process??

The second reason I support Tropical Traditions is because it is such a wonderful company with outstanding customer service. I am truly happy to support them by buying their quality products. And if your curious about the traditional methods of extraction, please watch this brief video – it’s great and inspiring to see a company still using traditional methods.

So now on to the fun stuff! I have an extra bottle of Tropical Traditions Gold Label Coconut Oil to give away! Here is the 411 below.

I signed up for the tropical traditions newsletter. I just discovered their website yesterday and I can't get enough! I want to know everything! I can't wait to try their gold label virgin coconut oil, sounds amazing. I just recently started using extra virgin coconut oil in my cooking and for my skin. I've had poor adrenal function for about 5 years now and my skin has suffered the most. I am convinced I have finally found the cure through coconut oil. I can't wait to have my health back. I also have just recently found out I am pregnant so I am excited to have a healthy body for my baby as well.
