“The Body Fat Solution” Revolution!

by lilla on January 14, 2009

Yay! I finally got my video camera working and filmed a quick clip of my review of Tom Venuto’s new book “The Body Fat Solution.”

Wow! This book is awesome and it’s going to revolutionize the fitness industry. It covers the often overlooked aspect of human psychology and emotions and how they affect our ability to stay motivated and achieve our goals. I also offer some constructive criticism to Tom in my frank (albeit somewhat girlie) review. LOL.

Great work, Tom. Looking forward to more!

Hiya Lilla! I just watched your transformation video – major change! You've got this blog so well organised too – How do you keep on top of it all? I just set up my own rtp blog and made a total mess of starting out. I'm mat by the way.

Hey Mat! Nice to meet you. Thanks for the compliment. :)

Your blog looks great, btw! Give yourself time to add content to it little by little. Trust me – none of us started with a massive blog by day 2. LOL. So stop the negative self talk , ok? You are taking ACTION – more than most people can say. BE POSITIVE and great things will happen! I know you can do it. I'll be watching yoouuuuu! ;)

    G'day Lil,

I'd love to watch your vid but it is set to private!

G'day Mat, Lilla is the queen of blog design so I wouldn't feel too bad since you are just starting out. Like Lilla said, just add content little by little and you'll get there mate.

    Oops! Thanks Ad.

Hey Lilla, great to see you on video again. Loved the review of Tom's book. I'm still reading it! (Lucky you being out of this cold weather!)

  • KaliLilla

    Thanks Debbie!
I just talked to my family in NJ and the Northeast is getting hit really hard with cold and snow. I am VERY lucky to be here right now. Wish I could transport my family here though. Stay warm!!!

    Hi lilla,

I stumbled upon your blog thanks to 1. Tom Venuto's new book and 2. http://rtp-blog.com. Whats even more interesting is that im a sandgroper also! Yes I live in sunny WA also! As well as this you grow your own wheatgrass and know all about ann wigmore! My mum used to go on and on and on about ann when i was in high school, i then eventually read “The Wheatgrass Book”. I recently became dubious about wheatgrass's usefulness when I read this: http://www.choice.com.au/goArticle.aspx?id=105224. I would absolutely love to hear your opinion on this ?

Also, one of your twitter entries talks about “Samudra's Raw Organic Food Room in Western Australia!”. For the life of me i cant find where this place is. Can you please enlighten me ?

I have just added your RSS to google reader. Keep writing!

Hey fellow Sandgroper! (Had to google what it meant – LOL.)

I agree a shot of wheatgrass shot doesn't replace veggies in your diet. However, young grasses/sprouts are at their highest nutrition when they are young and growing exponentially in a matter of days from a seed to a shoot /sprout. Removing the fibre from greens as in juices, allows it to be quickly assimilated by the body.

I'm sure broccoli and spinach have more of “CERTAIN” minerals /vitamins than wheatgrass juice, as wheatgrass juce probably has more of “CERTAIN” minerals/vitamins than brocoli/spinach because they are DIFFERENT.

As far as the other points on the link you provided, they are all inconclusive, it's true. I really think it's up to the individual to try it and see if they feel it's advantageous. :)

My belief is that the sun is the main source of “food” and life for the planet. Greens and fruits “harvest” this energy for us, so we can be nourished by them. I believe the closer we eat to nature, the more energy and “light” we receive.

Where in WA are you? Samudra is in Dunsborough. Here is the link: http://www.samudra.com.au

    Hi lilla,

Sorry, I didn't realise you where american. I live about 5 mins out of Perth city. Argghhh, you must be loving life living in dunsborough. The whole region is a playground for surfing. Check out the perfection on these shots: http://www.epicswells.com/update/16_8_06/ by the way epicswells's shop is located in the heart of dunsborough.

Another hidden treasure in the region is this: http://www.laforetenchantee.com.au/. My wife and I spent our wedding night there (we got married in margaret river). Absolutely amazing. It is very very well hidden though :)

If you are ever coming up to the city we could catch up ?

I hope you enjoy WestOz! Its a great raw, rich, vast land!

  • KaliLilla

    Yes, Dunsborough is REALLY cool!!

Thanks for the links. I need to get out and explore the Margaret River region more. Have you been to MR town?

I'm sure I'll be in Perth at some point – would be fun to meet up!

  • Alex

Yeah for sure. I have spent a reasonable amount of time in margs. The urban bean is not a bad cafe for coffee etc.
