New Beginnings

by lilla on January 2, 2009

What a lovely 2009 kick-off! My friends and I went to the beach to watch the sun set on 2008 and then we shared a delicious raw meal together on New Year’s Eve. We stayed up until the wee hours just talking and enjoying each other’s company. Divine.

Then I spent New Year’s Day on the beach soaking up some Aussie sunshine and floating in the clear beautiful bay in my “backyard.” I thought about how truly grateful I am. I feel SO lucky to be living my dreams and sometimes I wonder how I ever got to this stage. When I think back, I guess it was tuning in to how I REALLY wanted to spend EVERY moment of my life. And the answer was: to be happy, to never feel “stuck” in a situation, to be free and to be surrounded by love, friends, new experiences and places. Little by little those realizations became so ingrained in my being until they didn’t seem so far-out, weird or unattainable.

And as I was floating in my own little cove, I thought about what I wanted to manifest in 2009. Man, I have so many juicy ideas! It just makes me smile to think about them. But two main ones on a physical realm, is to stay high raw which makes me feel soooo good and to devote myself to my Ashtanga practice. The combination is magic!
