Mystery Guest Revealed

by lilla on December 9, 2008

Retro finally outed me in yesterday’s post! Yes, it’s true – I was Adam’s mystery friend in Brissie last week. It was a whirlwind 48-hours packed with a TON of walking – hitting all the city highlights. Brisbane is way cool! Big shoutout to Adam for freeing up his busy schedule to give me the grand tour around his hometown. And just a note to any shredders out there who have ever wondered if Adam REALLY is as compliant as his log indicates – check out his Day 754 photo. That backpack is filled with protein oatmeal and water. No wonder he was hammered lugging that pack all around town! LOL.

However, I’m no longer in Brisbane and Adam is not the Shredder that I currently live 50 miles (80 km – thanks Retro) away from. Here is a picture of my new “backyard” – devastingly beautiful turquoise clear water and stunning beaches. Yeah, I know – I’ve got it tough. LOL.

I see you found the edge of paradise, while the rest of us freeze in hades. I shall send some warm vibes your way as soon as my finger thaw out. Keep appreciating the beauty of it all ;)
  • Buff, I thought you were in Texas. Is it cold there?
  • G'day Lil! What a cool backyard! Being the Aussie expert I am I can tell exactly where this location is from the type of bird in your pic, but I'll let Retro figure it out as he seems real close!
  • Hey, you're not supposed to giving out clues! LOL.

Yep, the seagull is a dead give away. Thanks for pointing that out Adam as now I'm able to narrow it down to 25,000 KM of coastline:)
  • Haha, I knew the bird hint would make it too easy for you Retro!
  • Darn seagull, blew my cover. Should have photoshopped him out. :D

WOW, I think I'm wrong about Byron Bay, the water looks too peaceful for NSW. Did you fly all the way across country to Broome, WA?
  • Nope, not Broome.

Nice backyard... had a friend called "Byron" who had a similar backyard to yours. I remember it well as I lost my favourite pair of sunglasses somewhere in the scrub. It was back in '95 but if you happen to stumble upon a pair of chrome Ray-bans I'd love them back... that's if you're where I think you are:)
  • Haha - I love your riddles. Don't know "Byron," maybe one day. I'll keep an eye out for your Ray-bans.

I think you must have flown across the country and you are near Mike . He lives on the coast. This is like a cliff hanger to some silly TV show. we are all eagerly awaiting to find out where you are and what on earth has bought you to the shores of this fine country. Please tell ,Lilla.
  • Yep, I'm "next door" to the Grooms!
  • Diane
Blessed lady - austraila now living the life - where the heck are you?:-)
  • I'm in a Land Down Under,
Where women glow and men plunder.
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover.

OK...is it Mike Groom you are near to? Can´t think of any other Aussies at the moment, as know that Bec is not the one. I must have missed that *mystery guest* bit, so am going back to check that one out. Glad you and ADAM enjoyed the tourist time Bigtime fun.

Nice photo Lilla! Water looks lovely, but watch out for the stingers!
  • Stingers, really!?! Are there a lot?
  • Mike Groom
