Cloves Cinnamon Cacao – Wow!

I've always heard people proclaim that chocolate is high on the ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity) scale but I could never really find the proof - until now. I found this study from the USDA that compares the ORAC values of food. The top five per 100 grams in descending order are cloves, cinnamon, oregano, tumeric and cocoa powder. EcoFriendly Glass Drinking Straws

I just got a new glass straw from Glass Dharma. Love it! :) I chose the 8" smoothie size with green decorative dots. The dots are key, so it doesn't roll off the counter and break. I just made these little raw canapes last weekend for friends. They were really yummy and cute. Rolling them up and tying them with the chive without tearing it - tricky! Thank you everyone for your responses to yesterday’s post! So am I (a) screaming, (b) laughing or (c) crying? Watch the video and find out!

So that’s what happened after the initial screaming – a fit of delirious laughing to block out the pain. And yes, I am now the proud owner of my very own Quad Blaster! Not only that, but my QB is personally inscribed by World Natural Champion Bodybuilder, Carlos DeJesus. It’s a collector’s item. Wonder if Tom Venuto and Adam Waters can say that! Obviously Carlos likes me best. Ha! Just kidding. ;D

So today is my birthday and this is the best present I’ve ever given myself – six weeks of training under the guidance of Carlos DeJesus and my own QB. Now my goal is to blast and tone my legs so that all that extra muscle will raise my resting metabolism and burn more FAT. Every girl should have one!

Tune in tomorrow for a tour of the “wooden gym” led by none other than Carlos himself.
