215 – I have a confession to make

by lilla on July 17, 2008

Has anyone noticed that there isn’t one single stat listed at the beginning or throughout my Trinity Mission? That’s because after the Beach Body Shred (BBS), I had a blow out. I gained 5.5 lbs and reverted back to my Jan 1st weight practically.

TIMELINE: On Dec 17, I weighed in around 113lbs. By the time the East Coast Shredder Summit rolled around on March 24, I weighted 105lbs. Then in the middle of my subsequent BBS mission, I got down to 103 but ended the mission back at 105lbs on May 25th. When I started my current Trinity Mission on June 8th, I weighed in around 108+lbs. I yo-yoed on Trinity between 107-109lbs but then on Fourth of July weekend, I after overeating three days in a row I topped off at 110.5lbs! If you look back at my Monday July 7th post, you’ll notice there is no picture.

That was 10 days ago. I was so sick and tired of how I looked and felt that I decided to do an “Eat Stop Eat” day on Tuesday July 8th and then start a 90% raw food diet on Wednesday July 9th. Today I weighed in at 104lbs. I’ve lost 6.5lbs in 10 days and I’m eating alot! I’m trying not to get too excited about this because it might be water weight or just the initial loss that comes with dietary changes. One thing that I am doing differently this time as opposed to the other times I was on a raw food diet, is keeping my protein intake high at the levels recommended in Precision Nutrition.

I hope I haven’t jinxed myself by writing this and I don’t want to go into details about what I’m eating until I’m sure, but I did want to write this post so I have the date and scale weight documented.

On top of the weight loss, I’m feeling really great! Energy is high and acne is almost totally cleared up. I think after the end of my Trinity Mission, I will be doing some mild cleansing fasts. I’ll see how it goes.

Great job, Lilla on your weight loss. I also had the same thing happen my first week on my 30 day challenge. What are you eating for protein on the raw food diet? I can only think of nuts. What else?

  • Larry

    Lilla,
Your latest pic is definitely an improvement over your start pic. You look great!

Don’t get too hung up on the scale. You may be trading some fat for lean mass. Fat is four times the size of muscle. You might want to measure your bodyfat and compare to your starting stats. Probably tells a different story.

Lilla, you know, just looking at you, you couldn’t tell that you “gained” weight. You look great. Your body has shaped up incredibly.

  • Buffedstuff

Glad your energy level has risen. It really does make a difference.

  • DeDe

Oooooohhhh! I can’t wait to hear more details about what you are eating. Since you posted on this topic, I’ve been noticing what I eat that’s been cooked or prepared in some way. I haven’t changed anything, mind you, but my awareness has risen.

You are such a good influence!

Hey I just noticed something! You’ve got the same scales as me! :)

You are looking as terrific as ever!

Great, Lilla, you look fabulous!!! I have to learn a lot when it comes to nutrition and I think a much higher energy-level is a real gift!

Again, you look fabulous and well-trained.

    How is your foot/ankle?

  • gregory

dang, if you do yoga, don’t worry about weight .. it is all about how smoothly the consciousness flows through the nervous system …. the surface or size means nothing!!!! … all the pictures look great, though the thin ones are a bit strained , bolah blah

eat rice and vegetables and fruits and chocolate, who cares? obssessing is far more damaging than food

ok, enough, enjoy, thanks for your time, gregory

Great going Kali…trial and error and it looks like it’s working for you to a tee!

Is it weight loss which is your goal correct?

Hey, as long as you keep your proteins in conjunction with your workouts I think youre doing fantastic…and shouldn’t worry too much about losing some muscle if you aren’t – especially with your fasting diets and all. Not too significant really looking at the whole picture and what you’re goals are.

    Definitely keep it up!

Thanks guys! Trying not to “live by the scale” but it’s tough. I hadn’t weighed myself regularly in a long time, but this past week, I’ve been on it 2xs per day – checking to see if the weight loss was an illusion.

    Debbie,
Pound for pound sprouts are high in protein. Problem is it’s tough to eat a pound of sprouts! LOL. Raw food trick is to blend them into cold soups. For example avocado blended with sunflower sprouts – yum! I’m also supplementing some sashimi and raw egg whites.

    Juli,
Ankle is getting a little bit better but I don’t want to risk running on it. Will wait a little longer but THANKS for asking. :)

    Hey Gregory,
Thanks for visiting my blog. Never thought of any of my pics as “the thin ones” but I like the sound of that! You made my day. Hari om tat sat.

(Yes I do have body image issues. lol.)
