I just found out that as a TT member I have access to the limited-time bonuses. So I scooted over there and downloaded the ones I didn’t have before they disappear at midnight. Here’s the skinny.
Meal Plans for Men & Women by Dr. Chris Mohr and Jayson Hunter: This download consists of 2 separate ebooks – one for women and one for men. There are 4 weeks of daily menus with calorie counts and macronutrient breakdown.
I go through stages when I plan every single morsel, to times where I just eyeball my meals. So this is nice and easy for those times when I want a detailed no-brainer plan that I can just follow. There are also a few recipes and you know how I feel about recipes! Can’t wait to try ‘em!
GRADE: A
Bikini Ready Abs by Holly Rigsby: I was slightly turned off initially by the name of this one because it sounded like a girlie-spot-reduction workout but I was really pleasantly surprised!
The exercises are mostly full-body that engage the core like squats and lunges, with some traditional ab exercises thrown in BUT these ab exercises engage more than just abs, such as woodchops and jackknives. The worksheets are great because they have thumbnail pictures that make it easy to recall the exercises versus just the exercise names. There are also short-burst intervals, additional ab core combos, exercise pictures/descriptions, top 4 nutrition strategies and top 10 super foods for raising your metabolism.
I was really impressed with the way this ebook is put together. And for it’s size, it’s jammed with information.
GRADE: A
10-Minute Trouble Spot Workout for Women by Joey Atlas: Anything that says “10-Minute” workout sends my radar up, but I took a peek anyway. All the exercises seem to target butt and thighs, so that’s good. And the first few exercises are very similar to yoga poses like bridge pose and kneeling squat, so I know they work.
Overall, the 10-Minute workout looks like a good supplement to an existing workout program but not as a stand-alone plan. I would use this (1) when short on time and “something is better than nothing,” (2) if I felt like adding on to my regular workout or (3) if I was traveling and didn’t have access to a gym.
GRADE: B-
Home Gym Muscle Building Workout by Jay Ferruggia: This was probably the least valuable ebook for me personally, although others might find it useful. For one thing, I don’t have a home gym and secondly there are no descriptions of the exercises – just the workout order with reps and rest.
This is good for someone who knows most exercises by name already, doesn’t need descriptions/pictures and has a home gym. On the plus side, all you need to do this workout is a bench, dumbbells and resistance bands.
GRADE: C
Kettlebell Fat Burning Workout Unleashed by Troy Anderson: Now this one really intrigued me because it seems to have everything you could want simultaneously in a condensed workout:
- flexibility
- power
- metabolic conditioning
- strength building
I especially like the flexibility part because I feel like all my weight-training is making my body less limber. Not to mention that according to this e-book, Jessica Biel and Jennifer Lopez do kettlebell workouts. Have you seen their bodies?! I want that!
This ebook comes with pictures, exercise descriptions, links to videos and “smoke” sessions! Tough stuff. Cool!
GRADE: A
Today is the last day to get these free bonuses (plus others) and a 6-month membership to the online TT forum included with the Turbulence Training package . Craig Ballantyne is pulling the offer at midnight tonight Wednesday May 7th. So if you’ve been sitting on the fence waiting to buy, this is a pretty good deal. You can get more information on the bonuses (some of which I didn’t cover in this post) at the Ultimate Turbulence Training package.
