Day 112 – Out of the Frying Pan & Into the Fire!

Yay! Finally put the word “turbulent” back into my training! After taking last week off and acclimating myself to my new gym, it’s taken me some time to get back up to speed. But I rocked today! Increased weights and/or reps on every set. Finally figured out how to do barbell lunges in the power cage. I have to calculate my lunge stride very carefully so I don’t clank against the cage. LOL. There aren’t many incidents when being vertically-challenged comes in handy, but this is one of them. Who invented this thing anyway? I don’t see the purpose of the cage vs. an open barbell rack.

Ok – before anyone starts giving me any flack about my sub 100% day, I have a very good reason. I wanted to do fasted cardio and I ran farther than I had anticipated. So I got back late and just wasn’t hungry at all until 11am. But I’ve decided I’m not going to stress out about the meals, as long as I am eating at least 5 meals per day and giving 110% to my training.

    Lilla, this is why my own accountability log only counts 5 of the meals no matter what. My target (like you say your’s is) is 5 meals. If I eat 6, great, if not, it doesn’t count against me. Maybe you need a change like that?

    Yes, now I wish I had set it up at 5 meals but I was doing 6 in Kauai so I went with that. I just don’t seem to have as much time here in NJ to eat 6xs/day.

    If I change it now it will get screwy and not match the NY4. So I’ll keep it is and work at getting 6 meals otherwise just log minus 1. No biggie as long as I’m in the 90% range and DILIGENT with my workouts.

    Lilla, I too sometimes only want to eat 5 meals due to timing, size of meals, etc.

    What if we just put it as optional and counted the point regardless. I don’t think 5 meals should count against us.

    I think you’re right, Debbie. I’m going to put a “1″ even if I do miss the 6th meal.
