89 (TT 72) – Whale of a Day!

by lilla on March 13, 2008

Another lovely run this morning all the way to Kilauea Lighthouse where I was greeted with a wonderful surprise – a whale sighting! It was awesome! It leapt from the water. Very cool! It looked like two whales but they were at a distance, so hard to say. It’s whale-migrating season here in Hawaii and I’ve been thinking about going on a whale-sighting boat trip before I leave the island. That plus a trip to Waimea Canyon, Kalalau Trail and the Blue Room again. Nothing like waiting until the last minute to squeeze in all my sightseeing after living here for a year! :D

(Waimea Canyon: a mini-version of the Grand Canyon)

After my run, I went to Ashtanga class and I’m so pleased by how my turbulence training has improved my practice. Some of the poses come so effortlessly now, that I’m stunned! Did I just do that!? Cool beans!

Also went for a bike ride this afternoon and this evening will be upper body TT workout at the gym. Eats have been perfect today too. So it’s a very good day here in Lillaville!

That canyon is so incredibly beautiful. And whales! Sound like you are in paradise, and guess you are. Still in awe of you doing so well and so much cardio, yoga, more cardio then exercises. Superwoman!

Yes the canyon looks gorgeous – can’t believe I haven’t gone there yet!

Kauai is idyllic, no doubt! Literally rainbows almost every day. It’s like a fairy tale.

I can only imagine how awesome a whale watch/sighting would be in Hawaii. We go every year off the coast of Cape Cod in MA and it is awesome. To be somewhere like Hawaii? I can’t even imagine! Great picture!

What time of year is whale-watching in Cape Cod?
